Pick a treatment and date to see what to do day by day.

Botulinum Toxin

  1. Treatment day · Mon 5 October

Do not rub or massage the treated area; avoid intense exercise in the first hours. For other restrictions, follow your doctor’s instructions.

  2. Day 1 · Tue 6 October

There may be mild redness, swelling or a small bruise; these usually go away on their own. If you have problems swallowing, breathing, speaking or seeing, call 112 immediately.

  3. Day 3 · Thu 8 October

You may begin to notice the effect starting. It is still too early to judge the result.

  4. Day 7 · Mon 12 October

Bruising and swelling have mostly gone. If you notice a drooping eyelid or eyebrow, let your doctor know.

  5. Day 14 · Mon 19 October

The effect has usually become noticeable. Follow-up appointment if your doctor has recommended one.

  6. Day 90 · Sun 3 January

The effect usually starts to wear off around this time; the duration varies from person to person. Discuss with your doctor whether a repeat treatment is needed.
