DoktorClub turns 10: Türkiye's first digital platform exclusively for physicians enters its second decade
Founded in 2013 to give physicians easy access to professional knowledge and to their colleagues, DoktorClub set up its artificial intelligence team in its tenth year and announced its roadmap for the new era.

Istanbul, 2 October 2023 – DoktorClub, Türkiye's first professional digital platform exclusively for physicians, has completed its 10th year. Founded in 2013 by Gökçe Yaraşan, the platform has spent a decade focused on offering physicians up-to-date medical information, continuing education, a congress calendar and a network of colleagues in one place.
Since its founding, DoktorClub has held to two principles: membership is free for physicians, and every application goes through activation approval. Medical doctors and dentists join with physician membership, while medical students and interns join with student membership. This structure ensures that the discussions and content on the platform are truly addressed to physicians.

- 2017: DoktorClub Awards, whose winners are decided by physician votes, was launched.
- 2019: A preparation module for TUS, Türkiye's medical specialty entrance exam, was added to the platform for medical students and young physicians.
- 2020–2021: During the pandemic, the platform stood by physicians with online training and digital congresses.
- 2023: An artificial intelligence team was set up; development of DOKGPT began.
Priority for the second decade: physician-supervised artificial intelligence
In its tenth year, DoktorClub set up a team to develop an artificial intelligence assistant exclusively for physicians. In the company's approach, artificial intelligence is positioned not as a system that makes decisions in place of the physician, but as an aid that cites sources, calculates and reminds.

Membership of DoktorClub is free, and every application goes through activation approval. Medical doctors and dentists join with physician membership; medical and dental students and interns join with student membership; non-physician health academics join with academic membership. Physician, student and academic memberships are reported separately. Profiles, cases and messages are private by default and are not made public without explicit consent.
Medical review and editorial independence
Medical content on DoktorClub is published with its sources and goes through review by a physician editor in the relevant specialty and approval by the Medical Director. Decisions on topics and publication are made by the Medical Director and the editors. Sponsored content is clearly labeled and cannot influence editorial decisions. The author, reviewing physician, date and sources appear below every piece of content; the Scientific Advisory Board oversees content quality and currency.
